• Tenders are invited for Consulting Service for Identification and Selection of Online Booking and Online Payment Systems and Registering Local Tourism Service Providers. The Public Organization ‘Mountain Societies Development Support Programme (MSDSP)-, a project of the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) in the Republic of Tajikistan is a leading rural development organization working in four regions of Tajikistan - GBAO, Khatlon, Districts of Republican Subordination (Rasht Valley) and Sughd, covering over 1,600 villages and reaching over 1 million people. MSDSP is supported by numerous donor organizations to undertake multi-input area development activities that contribute to improvement of quality of life in rural Tajikistan by fostering: i) effective participatory governance through civil society institutional development, ii) sustainable agricultural intensification and land management, iii) improved and expanded public services, and iv) private services for socio-economic and environmental development. Local Impact is an innovative framework for meaningful and sustained impact on the most critical development priorities in Asia and Africa. AKF, an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), partners with communities to improve the quality of life for decades and generations. AKDN, one of the world-s leading poverty solutions networks, is making substantial, long-term investments in local systems and institutions that promote a path to self-reliance and resilience. Working together through a co-created, co-funded, and community-centered agreement, AKF and United State Agency for International Development (USAID) are implementing Local Impact, a multi-year, multi-sector, multi-country partnership to achieve transformational development outcomes. Through Local Impact, in select countries in Africa and Asia, AKF and USAID are targeting marginalized and vulnerable communities to (1) catalyze inclusive economic growth and ensure basic livelihoods; (2) enhance infrastructure and access to basic services with a focus on clean energy; (3) enhance the capacity of citizens and local institutions to co-create solutions; and (4) promote pluralism and social cohesion. The local investments of AKDN, coupled with USAID-s strategic and responsive development interventions and funding, will be catalytic and will lead to sustainable local impact. Pamir Eco-Culture Tourism Association (PECTA) was established in 2008 with the support of MSDSP. PECTA is a non-commercial organization registered and functioning in accordance local legislation. The association provides local tourism stakeholders, especially in the remote areas, with business development support and promotes Tajikistan as tourism destination at the regional and international levels. Currently, PECTA has 22 members, 14 of which are tour operator, and the rest are service providers. PECTA also works with other non-member tour-operators, service providers, homestay owners, drivers, guides, porters, and other relevant sectors in GBAO.
